Výkopy Praha

We excavate in Prague.
Every day.

Connections, foundations, manual excavations in areas inaccessible to excavators. We have our own machinery and staff who know what lies beneath Prague pavements, because we also build our own optical network under them.

Site inspection and price quote free of charge. We will come to inspect, take measurements and provide a quote. Only then do you decide.

Excavation cross-section with buried utility networks The diagram shows layers from the surface downwards: asphalt surfacing, sub-base layers and soil. Within the soil, at varying depths, are laid communication cables, gas, water and electricity lines, each covered by a warning tape in its respective colour. marking of utility networks fibre optics 0,4 m gas 0,8 m power 0,7 m water 1,5 m excavation depth
Before digging begins, it must be clear what lies beneath. The colour of the warning tape indicates which utility line runs underneath, and each has a different cover depth.

What we excavate

The colour for each service corresponds to the warning foil laid over the respective utility line.

Excavations for utility connections

Water, gas, electricity, sewage and fibre optics. From connection to the main line to directional drilling under pavements, including laying protective sleeves and backfilling.

0,4-1,5 m

Foundation Excavation

Foundation strips and footings for detached houses, garages, pergolas and fences. Trenches dug to drawing specifications, with height surveying.

0,8-1,2 m

Hand excavations

Where excavators cannot turn or where machine digging is prohibited, in courtyards, cellars, close to utility networks and in historic buildings. Without damaging the surroundings.

depending on location

Excavator with operator

Mini excavator or larger machine with operator by the hour or for the whole job. We deliver, work and collect.

from 1 hour

Earthworks and soil removal

Site levelling, slope grading, preparation for paving or lawn. We will remove and dispose of excess soil.

Why choose us

We do not treat excavations as a side activity. We are an internet provider building our own optical network in Prague, which means digging in the city centre, between utility networks, under paving slabs and with permits on hand.

  • We know Prague's underground. We obtain a utility network statement for every project. We know what lies beneath the pavement before any digging begins.
  • We handle all paperwork.TSK land acquisition, coordination with the municipal district, traffic engineering measures. This is our daily routine, not an unknown world.
  • Our own people, our own machineryWe do not call anyone after your enquiry. The crew and equipment are ours, so the date is guaranteed.
  • We will restore the surface to its original condition.Backfilling in layers with compaction, reinstating paving, and asphalt surfacing restored. We leave no sinkholes behind.

Deep excavations must be shored. Safety is not an optional budget item.

How it works

From your first enquiry to a completed excavation involves five steps. None of them are binding until you approve the price.

You get in touch

Via form or phone. Just state what and where needs excavating.

We will come and take a look.

Free on-site inspection. We will take measurements and check access for machinery.

You will receive a price

In writing, itemised. Valid unless unforeseen conditions are encountered in the ground, and even then we will contact you before costs increase.

We will handle the permits.

Utility network statements, land occupation permits, traffic signage. When required.

We excavate and clear up.

Excavation, laying, backfilling with compaction, surface reinstatement. We will remove the soil.

What determines the price

A price list for excavation work "per metre" is always only indicative, two excavations of the same length can differ in cost by several times. Therefore, we prefer to come and give you a fixed amount straight away, rather than having you calculate from a table that does not fit your plot.

The site inspection is free and carries no obligation.

Schedule a site inspection
  • 01Soil type. Soil is excavated differently from fill with construction debris or rock.
  • 02Access for machinery. An empty plot or a passage just one and a half metres wide? Where machinery cannot reach, excavation is done by hand.
  • 03Trench depth and width. As excavation depth increases, so do the volume of earthworks and the need for shoring.
  • 04Utility networks in the route. In the protective zone of another utility line, excavation must be carried out manually and with care.
  • 05Surface. Lawn reinstatement differs from block paving or asphalt.
  • 06What to do with the soil. Will it remain on site or be removed and will the landfill fee be paid?

Contact us

We will get back to you within the second working day to arrange an inspection. The more details you provide, the more accurately we can estimate what lies ahead.
